01 // THE ORIGIN

Noise.Is NotA Choice.It Is TheStandard.

The Schnooks were born from a basement in Batavia, Ohio, fueled by a mutual disdain for the predictable and a desperate need for more fuzz pedals. We don't just play indie rock; we dismantle it, rewire the circuits, and plug it back into a socket that's definitely not up to code.

Our sound is a deliberate collision of experimental noise and alternative hooks. We believe that a song isn't finished until it feels like it might fall apart at any second. It's electric, it's angular, and it's probably louder than your landlord would prefer.

We reject the polished, plastic perfection of modern radio. Music should have grit. It should have teeth. It should feel like a live wire dancing on a wet floor. We aren't here to provide background noise for your brunch; we're here to start a conversation you can't ignore.

Batavia isn't just where we're from; it's the frequency we operate on. There's a specific kind of boredom that breeds the best kind of chaos. We take that suburban stillness and turn it into a wall of sound that echoes far beyond the county line.

This is the propaganda. This is the noise. This is the reason we stay up until 4 AM arguing over a single snare hit. It's not just a band. It's a voltage spike in a world of dim lights.

"A basement in Batavia is the only cathedral we ever needed."

We don't follow the algorithm. We don't chase the playlist. Every track begins with a feeling—usually a slightly uncomfortable one—and ends with a recording that sounds exactly like the inside of our heads.

The Schnooks are the only band that makes me feel like I'm having a panic attack in a cool way. Their Batavia show was pure electric chaos.

Batavia's finest noise export. We don't do generic marketing copy, we just make loud, weird rock for people who actually listen.
